Learn and Teach French

Hello and welcome to https://learn-and-teach-french.com !
This website is for language learners and teachers of French as a Foreign Language (FFL).

If you are learning French and would like to have individual lessons online please contact me on the web page « Booking a lesson ». You will find there the responses to the frequently asked questions.

« French for business » contains documents and activities for Business French classes. It is designed for advanced students and teachers, so the section is mostly in French. Dear colleagues, you can freely use my documents for your classes, but only if you cite me properly (active link to my website). For me correct citations and references are crucial.

In « Blog » you will find articles about language learning, tips, and all kinds of advice to progress in your learning. It is mostly for students, but I hope it will be also interesting for teachers.

I hope that the « Teachers’ room » will be a space for discussions between colleagues, and a place to talk about teaching FFL. « Teachers’ room » is open for everyone, but don’t be surprised by some special terminology used sometimes.

In « About me » you can find information about me, my career, and my project.

Also, some more pages will be added soon: those for beginners and Ukrainian-speaking learners are planned.

I am at the very start of my project, be sure that all pages will be completed soon!

I hope you will enjoy visiting!

What’s new?

"How expensive!.."

How to use the language teacher most profitably, or why saying « I’m going to enrol in a language course to learn French » can be a false good idea, or « I am learning a foreign language » or « I am being taught a foreign language »?

Profession of... method

What method do you use? My first article about language learning and teaching method.

French for Business: Recrutement

Here is my pedagogical kit to work the process of staffing in the company (texts, vocabulary and excercices).

No grammar needed?

« I don’t want to learn grammar, I don’t need it to learn a foreign language ». Grammar is difficult and boring.
So what should we do with the grammar?

« Apprendre une langue étrangère, c’est comme partir en voyage. La route sera longue, souvent dificile, mais toujours passionnante ! »

We should learn languages because language is the only thing worth knowing even poorly

A language is everything you do.
