Faq
What equipment and supplies do I need?
First of all – Internet connexion and a PC (which is better) or a mobile phone. All that you need for note-taking if you want, but after each class, I will send you notes with studied materials.
What apps are used?
I propose online classes with Zoom, but using Microsoft Teams or Skype is also possible.
What is the format of your classes?
I adapt my class to your needs. Some students need conversational practice, others want to improve their grammar skills in writing, and others want to work on their pronunciation. We discuss your needs, targets, and resources during the first trial lesson. You can also read this article about method.
Do I have to buy a textbook?
Text-book is a great tool for learning a language: it gives structure and can be used with a lot of fun. Also, it presents the learning information in a clear and structured way. If you are ok with buying a textbook, we can use it. Working on different resources and documents is also possible.
I already have a textbook. Can I use it?
Yes, sure. If I don’t have the same, I will buy the same and we can work on it.
You are not a native speaker. Why should I learn French with a non-native-speaking teacher?
First, I have been living in France for almost 20 years. My French is nearly native-speaker level, and still improving (that’s not the case with my English, unfortunately, but I am working on it!). Also, a non-native teacher has often a more analytical approach and has a different vision of the language he (or she) teaches, and that’s a very important point.
Do you propose online or traditional classes?
Only online classes are proposed. Traditional classes will probably be available later (in France). With online lessons, you can study at your rhythm and have a personalized follow-up.
I have studied french for some time, but I don’t know what level I have…
We will discuss that during the trial lesson. Also, I can propose you a small chart that allows you to determine what your level is and how we can improve it.
What payment methods are accepted?
PayPal (including by credit card via PayPal) or bank transfer. Other possibilities will soon be available.
How to pay for the lessons?
Upon receipt of your message, I will contact you to agree on the number of hours you wish to do, the date and time of the lessons, as well as your needs in general, and I will send you a PayPal invoice by email. which you can pay via PayPal or credit card. Upon receipt of your payment, I will send you the link to the course video.
Can I cancel a booked lesson?
Yes, sure. Just send me an email at least 48 hours before the class.
Can I cancel stop lessons whenever I want?
Yes, sure. Just send me an email at least 48 hours before the class you want to cancel. Naturally, if you booked a pack of 5 or 10 lessons, you will have your money back for the canceled classes.
